UGC NET 2021 EXAM NOTIFICATION PUBLISHED
Overview
UGC NET (UGC NET 2021)
exam notification has been published. The test will be taken from October 8 to
October 11 this year. The day was announced by the University Grants Commission,
or UGC for short.
Due to the Covid
situation, the test scheduled for December 2020 could not be held. In addition,
there were questions about the test that was supposed to take place in June
2021. However, UGC is the end of all speculations. A notification has been
issued stating that the December 2020 test and the June 2021 test will be taken
together.
The test will be taken
in two shifts. The first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon, the second shift is
from 3 pm to 6 pm. Questions will be asked following multiple answer formats.
The test will be through computer based test. A total of two papers will be
examined.
Interested and eligible candidates can submit the application form through the official website of the University Grants Commission if they want to sit for the examination. Applications have been accepted from August 10. The last date of application is 5 September. Age Limit
As on 01/03/2021, not more than 31 years. Age relaxation will be
provided as per government rules.
Upload Documents
Upload legible scanned images of:
(i) A recent photograph (in jpg/ jpeg file, size 10Kb –
200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask)
visible including ears against white background;
(ii) Candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb).
Educational Qualification
General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55%
marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from
universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer/Scheduled
Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender category candidates who have secured at least
50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination
are eligible for this Test.

How to Apply
Step1: Please read the
Information Bulletin carefully before you start filling the Online
Application Form.
Step2: Click on APPLY NOW button
or go to the official website.
Step3: Scroll down and
put tick in the box and click on Click
here to Proceed.
Step4: Fill the
application form carefully with your detail information.
Step5: Upload necessary
documents.
Step6: Pay the
application fee.
Step7: Submit the application form and take a print
out of application form for future reference.
Documents to be brought to the Examination Centre
- Candidates must bring the following documents to the Test Centre
- Printed copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA website.
- One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form)
- Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and nonexpired) – PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card).
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
