Overview
The West Bengal Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (WB Primary TET) is the
popular state-level eligibility test of West Bengal conducted through the West
Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE). In order to recruit primary teachers
in various primary school of West Bengal, the west Bengal board of primary
education conducts an exam or test which is called WB PRIMARY TET or West
Bengal Primary Teacher eligibility Test. WB Primary TET has issued a notification
for recruiting teachers in 2017. In this article, we are going to cover all the

WB TET RESULT
Before the declaration of results, the WBBPE will release the WB TET
answer key. Candidates who will obtain the minimum qualifying marks will be
declared as pass in the WB TET 2017 exam. Candidates who qualify the WB TET
exam get selected to fill vacancies of teaching posts in West Bengal as per the
below mentioned criteria:

Educational Qualification
The candidates who are willing to attend TET exam, have to qualify the
minimum eligibility and the eligibilities are as follows:
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least
50% marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
Or, Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at
least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
Or, Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at
least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised
by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
Or, Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
For the candidates of SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, Exempted Category,
ex-serviceman and DH (Death-in-harness) category will get 5% relaxation of
marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2
(i.e 45%) will be allowed.

Selection Process
Step 1: Fill WB TET Application Form
Candidates need to fill WB TET application form on the official website
of the teacher eligibility test. After duly filling the application form WB TET
exam, aspirants need to save the confirmation page.
Step 2: Download WBTET Admit Card
Candidates need to download their WB TET admit card from the official
website of WBBPE. WB TET admit card contains the aspirant’s name, photograph,
signature, roll number and test centre details. Candidates need to take a
printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam centre on the day of
examination.
Step 3: Appear for WB TET Exam
On the exam day aspirants need to reach their test centre well in
advance. WB TET exam comprises 150 multiple choice objective type questions
which aspirants need to attempt in the allotted time duration of 2 hours 30
minutes.
Step 4: WB TET Result
Candidates can view their results for WB TET exam on the official
website of the test. To check their WBTET result aspirants need to fill their
roll number and date of the birth on the exam’s official website.
Basic TET Exam Guidelines
- Candidates should keep in mind the below-mentioned points on the day of the exam:
- Candidates should not forget to carry their admit card to the exam centre along with a photo ID proof.
- Candidates should reach the allotted exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
- Since WB TET is a pen-and-paper-based test, aspirants should carry minimum of two ballpoint pens of black and blue colour to the test centre.
- Candidates should not carry any textual material or paper to the exam centre.
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, watches and calculators are banned inside the examination centre.
Counseling Scheduled
The counseling schedule for the 2017 primary TET exam will be announced
next Tuesday. And the answer (answer key) will be published before the result
is published. And the recruitment process for the 2017 primary TET exam will be
published before Pujo.
